Job Summary
ELL Tutor provides assistance and motivation to English Language Learners throughout the school day, collaborates with teachers to implement developmentally appropriate instructional interventions for language development, gathers formal and informal data to improve instruction, participates in parent/teacher conferences, assists with delivering the ELDA test for K-2 as appropriate, and maintains confidentiality of student information and records. The role emphasizes effective communication with teachers, parents, and colleagues, professional conduct, culturally responsive practice, data-driven instruction, and supporting diverse learners in classroom settings.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of study at an institution of higher education; or Associate degree or higher; or Obtain voluntary certification through the Board of Educational Examiners(Paraeducator Certification); or Successful completion of ACT WorkKeys® (NCRC Assessment).
- ACT WorkKeys® Assessments in Applied Mathematics, Locating Information and Reading for Information (NCRC)
