Job Summary
Elko-based Cloud Engineering Manager responsible for overseeing cloud strategy, infrastructure design, platform operations, and engineering teams; lead cloud adoption, optimize cost/performance, ensure security, reliability, and regulatory alignment; manage cloud engineers, drive governance, and align IT strategy with business objectives. Responsibilities include executing the cloud roadmap, delivering large project workstreams, mentoring staff, overseeing incident response and disaster recovery, managing budgets, and ensuring SLAs. Requires strong leadership, cloud architecture expertise, and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Information Systems or a related field or equivalent work experience
- MBA in Business Administration preferred
- Minimum seven (7) years IT experience in a support environment
- Minimum two (2) years’ progressive IT management experience leading teams across multiple sites
- Extensive hands-on multi-site organizational change management experience
- Deep knowledge of various cloud services
- Ability to guide architectural decisions and mentor engineering teams
- Skilled in planning, executing, and delivering cloud initiatives
- Understanding of cloud security frameworks and regulatory requirements
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Ability to develop, manage, and optimize IT and cloud budgets
