Job Summary
Elite Fleet Travel Team drives support across the U.S. at customer sites, performing high-volume yard moves, spot, switch, and hostler duties with 48’–53’ trailers, and completing drop & hook moves only. Drivers stay in hotels during assignments, travel up to 80–100% of the time, and operate in a travel-only role rather than standard local yard positions. Requirements include CDL A, 18+ months of verifiable experience, backing trailers to dock doors, no DOT-accident history in 3 years, clean PSP/Clearinghouse, ability to travel for extended periods, and ability to work varied shifts and locations. The role emphasizes professionalism, flexibility, and reliability while representing US 1 Shorthaul across multiple sites nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A
- 18 months verifiable experience
- Proven experience backing 48’–53’ trailers to dock doors
- Yard jockey, spotter, switcher, hostler, local, or OTR experience may qualify
- No preventable DOT accidents in the past 3 years
- Clean Clearinghouse and acceptable PSP
- Ability to travel for extended assignments
- Ability to work different shifts, climates, and locations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
