Eligibility Worker I

Screen patients and claimants for governmental benefits including Medi-Cal, VOC, SSI/SSDI, and TPL through telephone or bedside screening. Complete applications, follow up with patient families and county workers to ensure successful case completion, and submit applications to appropriate offices. Update information in the hospital computer database and perform other duties as assigned while maintaining confidentiality of protected health information. This role offers paid training and is part of Health Advocates' mission to identify medical coverage for patients unable to pay healthcare debts.
