Eligibility Specialist

Process requests for healthcare assistance by reviewing applications, conducting interactive interviews, and gathering facts to accurately determine eligibility for HCAP benefits. Obtain, scan, and electronically save all documentation into I.H.S. software while performing computations based on income, resources, and household size. Provide excellent customer service, answer phone calls, and conduct follow-up contacts to encourage successful application completion. Educate clients on program benefits, coverage dates, and provider networks. Maintain knowledge of Medicaid programs and attend community outreach events as assigned. Ensure accuracy and completion of forms prior to certifying applicants while complying with all MCHD and HCAP policies.
