Eligibility Specialist 1

Meet with patients in-person to assess financial eligibility for government and charity programs; facilitate the application process for programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, Disability, and hospital charity care; act as a liaison between patients, hospital staff, and government agencies to establish eligibility and secure funding; manage multiple patient cases with timely follow-up and maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with HIPAA; bilingual English/Spanish preferred; strong organizational and communication skills to explain financial obligations and program details empathetically; role based in Gainesville at UF Health Shands Hospital, onsite with 40-hour work week.
