Job Summary
Screen patients and patient representatives to determine potential eligibility for third-party resources, including state aid and insurance assistance for medical bills. Retrieve and forward medical records, policy information, and itemized statements to appropriate parties while analyzing special requests and adjustments with hospital personnel. Maintain consistent communication with patients, physicians, case managers, and social workers to ensure timely certification and address issues. Educate clients on eligibility requirements and verification processes, documenting all activity in compliance systems. Work Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, requiring full vaccination and flu shot. Bilingual Spanish ability is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Willing and able to work inside of a hospital, including visiting hospital rooms to complete tasks
- Individual to be fully vaccinated, including COVID-19 vaccine and booster
- Current Flu shot
- Drug screening
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate or equivalent in relevant work experience
- Proficient personal computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Ability to lift and/or move 20 pounds with or without accommodation
- Ability to work in a team fostered environment
- Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment
- Ability to prioritize and organize work
- Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule
- Heavy walking is required
