Job Summary
Screen patients and patient representatives to determine eligibility for third-party resources, including state aid and insurance assistance. Retrieve medical records, policy information, and remittance advice, then analyze requests and follow up with hospital personnel. Maintain proactive communication with patients, physicians, case managers, and social workers to ensure timely certification and compliance with federal and state regulations. Document all activities in company systems and educate clients on application requirements. Work Monday through Friday with rotating Saturday shifts in a hospital office environment. Flu shot and drug screening required; bilingual Spanish a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Willing and able to work inside of a hospital, including visiting hospital rooms to complete tasks
- Individual to be fully vaccinated, including COVID-19 vaccine and booster
- Current Flu shot
- Drug screening
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate or equivalent in relevant work experience
- Proficient personal computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Ability to lift and/or move 20 pounds with or without accommodation
- Ability to work in a team fostered environment
- Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment
- Ability to prioritize and organize work
- Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule
- Heavy walking is required
