Job Summary
Temporary Eligibility Advisor I position with HHSC (AES division) in TX. Responsible for interviewing applicants to determine financial eligibility for SNAP, TANF, Medicaid; entering data into eligibility systems; computing and authorizing benefits; processing work per regulations; and performing related duties. Requires good communication, basic arithmetic, technology proficiency (Word/Outlook/Excel), ability to work overtime, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Education requirement: High School Diploma or GED; 1 year of customer service experience preferred. Telework eligible; positions located in LUFKIN (1210 S Chestnut St) and Nacogdoches; up to 10% travel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- One year of customer service experience with public contact
- Experience in interviewing clients and gathering personal information is preferred
