Job Summary
Join Lifeway Mobility as an Elevator Apprentice to install and repair accessibility products including stairlifts, elevators, and platform lifts; explain the product to customers and answer questions; enter work orders and inventory data in the Lifeway computer system; participate in paid manufacturer and on-the-job training; report to the Danielson, CT location and travel to jobs across CT and RI; work on both residential and commercial installations; jobs may span several hours to several days; requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, ability to use hand and power tools, and strong customer-focused communication. Training is provided, and the role offers a four-year paid apprenticeship with opportunities for growth within the company.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Basic computer skills
- Strong customer focus and communication skills
- Ability to pass drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background screen
- Ability to drive company vehicle to various client sites and work flexible hours as needed to complete jobs
- Physical requirements include: ability to lift 75+ lbs, frequent overhead work, climb ladders, and work in indoor/outdoor environments year-round
