Job Summary
Greet customers with a positive attitude, promptly address inquiries, and resolve issues efficiently. Load and unload trucks while inspecting grain for insects, moisture, and foreign materials. Read thermometers to monitor grain temperatures in storage tanks. Operate conveyors, select flow pipes, set trippers, and choose storage tanks to move grain. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on elevator equipment, including filling anhydrous ammonia tanks. Maintain facility cleanliness and adhere to safety policies. Complete paperwork accurately and communicate effectively with customers and staff. Work a variable schedule during harvest, including different shifts and overtime as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist passengers as required
- Ability to operate elevator controls and emergency systems effectively
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to elevator operation
- Must be flexible, working a variable schedule during harvest, including different shifts, days of the week, and overtime as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Proven experience as an elevator operator or in a similar role preferred
