Job Summary
As an Elevator Mechanic, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of elevators and lifting equipment, ensuring the safety and reliability of the machinery. Key responsibilities include inspecting and addressing mechanical issues, conducting regular inspections, and providing excellent customer service to clients. This role requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in elevator mechanics, a valid mechanic’s license, and strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. You will work in various environments, adhering to safety regulations and addressing emergency repair needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of elevator experience
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- State and/or city issued Mechanic’s license
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or technical school training in elevator repair
- Ability to analyze and repair failures, especially in emergency situations
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
