Job Summary
As an Elevator Mechanic, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of elevators and other lifting equipment. Key responsibilities include inspecting various types of elevators, diagnosing faults, making repairs and adjustments, and ensuring the safety and reliability of equipment. Candidates must possess a Mechanic’s license, have completed an apprenticeship or technical training in elevator repair, and have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. The role demands strong problem-solving abilities and excellent customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
- State and/or city issued Mechanic’s license as required
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or technical school training in elevator repair
- Minimum of 4 years of elevator experience
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
- Valid driver's license
