Job Summary
Independently manage and direct all work associated with safe and efficient elevator operations, including originating and merchandising corn and soybeans to meet budget volume and profitability targets. Develop and maintain strong public relations with the local farmer client base while overseeing site maintenance, contracts, grain accounting, and payments. Monitor daily long/short positions to control grain handling, storage, and transportation, and supervise full-time and seasonal employees to ensure adherence to safety and Roquette procedures. Full-time Monday–Friday schedule with extended hours during harvest and half of Roquette holidays. Requires BS/BA in Agriculture Business or related field with 2–3+ years of combined production agriculture and elevator management experience.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA in Agriculture Business/Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- 2–3+ years of combined production agriculture and elevator management experience
- 2–3 years of supervisory experience
- 5–7 years of grain operations management/marketing experience
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, with extended hours including weekends during harvest
- Works half of Roquette holidays when CBOT is open
- Primarily local during the business day, with some out-of-area and overnight travel expected
