Job Summary
TOSA for Elementary (K-5) to facilitate professional learning, support teachers with curriculum alignment and instructional materials, model lessons, provide feedback on implementation, and support data-driven instruction across the district. Responsibilities include leading professional development and PLCs, coordinating training for classroom teachers in multiple settings (including after-school and summer sessions), supporting technology integration, and collaborating with district directors to advance state and district standards. The role involves working with grade-level teams, teachers, and school leaders, planning and facilitating training, and ensuring instructional practices align with district vision and standards. Requires valid certification and 5+ years of teaching experience; Masters degree and/or National Board Certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and appropriate teaching certification
- 5+ years of successful teaching experience
- Experience on state and/or district instructional committees
- Experience in leadership activities
- Ability to articulate ideas and communicate well with others
- Ability to organize ideas, coordinate multiple tasks and materials to accomplish goals
- Ability to organize time and commit to a flexible work schedule
- Experience in collaborating with teachers and administration around instructional practices
