Elementary Teachers (2026-27 school year)

Plan, organize, and deliver an instructional program for elementary students, including developing course syllabi and lesson plans, delivering engaging activities that align to state standards, collaborating with departments to ensure consistent instructional experiences, establishing clear objectives, preparing the classroom, and using a variety of materials and resources. Instruct and monitor students, assess performance, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records; integrate relevant technology to support instruction; manage student behavior and maintain a positive classroom environment; participate in meetings, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development; cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and eligibility for Indiana teacher certification; assignment is within Michigan City Area Schools for the 2026-27 school year with opportunities as vacancies arise.
