Job Summary
Elementary School Teacher at Uncommon Schools responsible for co-teaching and delivering an engaging classroom environment across math, reading/writing (ELA), science, and social studies; analyzing student work with principal/coach to differentiate instruction; supporting school culture, family partnerships, and participating in weekly meetings, PD, mentorship, and after-school activities. Requires a bachelor's degree and NY certification eligibility; 1-2 years of experience preferred. Location: North Chili, NY. Compensation ranges from $50,000 to $64,700 with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NY state certification eligibility requirements; enrollment in teacher preparation program if not yet certified; maintain GPA 2.5 or higher during employment if not educated in education
- Certification is not required to be hired at Uncommon, but you must meet NY certification requirements within a reasonable period after beginning employment
