Job Summary
Co-teach and build an engaging, joyful classroom environment while instructing mathematics, reading, writing, ELA, science, and social studies curricula. Analyze student work samples and assessments weekly to differentiate instruction for all learners. Partner with families to support learning needs and build positive relationships ensuring students feel seen and heard. Manage daily operations including morning arrival, lunch duty, assemblies, transitions, and dismissal. Engage in practice-based professional development, mentorship, and coaching sessions alongside grade-level teams to develop academic goals.
Required Qualifications
- A demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools and communities
- 1-2 years experience preferred
- Academic expertise in Elementary Education, Humanities, English, Social Sciences, or other related fields of study
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- NY state certification eligibility requirements
- Enrollment in a teacher preparation program
- GPA of 2.5 or higher during employment if no degree in education
