Job Summary
TEACHER – Plan, prepare and implement lesson plans for assigned Transitional Kindergarten classes; to provide instruction, evaluate student progress, and participate in IEP and Student Study Committee meetings. Responsible for planning and directing instruction, collaborating with instructional staff, training staff as appropriate, and maintaining a learning environment that supports individual differences and respectful student engagement. Essential duties include developing instructional objectives, administering assessments, communicating with parents, supervising students, and contributing to district-wide professional development and curriculum improvement. Requires knowledge of standard instructional methods and California education laws, with a Bachelor’s degree and a valid California Teaching Credential. Salary range $63,741 to $113,527 annually; annual stipends available for Masters, Doctorate, and BCLAD. Supervision received from the principal with supervision of support staff as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid Teaching Credential issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
- 21-24 units in early childhood education, childhood development, or both (as applicable for TK/UPK credential requirements)
