Job Summary
Elementary Teacher position at South Carolina Connections Academy. Responsibilities include managing instructional programs from home or Columbia, SC; conducting asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction; completing grading and progress reports; conducting parent conferences and maintaining regular communication with parents, students, and teachers to develop Personal Learning Plans; developing a thorough knowledge of the K-12 curriculum and specific grade levels; assisting students with alternate strategies and providing additional help with assignments; keeping student records up-to-date; coordinating with team members to develop enrichment activities and modifications; creating and maintaining a sense of school community; participating in State Testing and student recruiting activities; and attending field trips and other family activities. Requires certification to teach Early Childhood and/or Elementary grades in SC, strong tech skills (MS Office, Google Suite), excellent communication, organization, customer-focused approach, flexibility, teamwork, occasional travel for events, ability to work remotely, and use of a personal device with two-step authentication.
Required Qualifications
- Certified to teach Early Childhood and/or Elementary grades in South Carolina
- Strong technology skills (MS Office, Google Suite)
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Highly organized and punctual

- High degree of flexibility
- Team player
- Willingness to travel on occasion for school and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel)
- Ability to work remotely, if necessary
