Job Summary
Develop and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on curriculum standards while creating assessments to monitor student performance. Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development. Maintain a safe, positive environment for students and establish routines to supervise multiple learners effectively. Communicate regularly with parents, students, and school staff. Required Qualifications
- Must have teacher certification
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan with an endorsement in the grade level
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities
- Be able to perform first aid/CPR if necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree is a plus
