Job Summary
Manage instructional programs for elementary students remotely by conducting asynchronous web conferencing and synchronous instruction. Complete grading, create progress reports, and lead parent conferences while developing Personal Learning Plans and monitoring assignment completion. Communicate regularly with parents, students, and curriculum specialists to provide feedback, suggest instructional strategies, and coach special projects. Maintain up-to-date student records, attendance data, and contact logs. Consult with learning specialists to design alternate enrichment activities and modifications. Participate in state testing administration, student recruiting sessions, and regional field trips. Devise virtual methods to build school community and attend family community activities.
Required Qualifications
- Highly qualified and certified to teach Elementary grades in Minnesota (appropriate to grade level responsibilities)
- Strong technology skills(especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Highly organized and punctual
- Customer focused approach
- High degree of flexibility
- Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
- Team player track record
- Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel)
- Ability to work remotely, if necessary
- Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families
