Job Summary
Elementary/Kindergarten Teacher in Metairie, LA responsible for promoting the mental, physical, emotional and social growth of students; uses diverse instructional methods, develops and implements lesson plans, maintains accurate records (attendance, health, report cards), manages classroom environment, communicates with parents and faculty, and participates in evaluation and professional development activities. Requires a college degree and a valid Louisiana teaching certificate or eligibility for licensure; 183 teaching days per work year; salary commensurate with degree and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate
- Certification in area of assignment
- Eligible for a Practitioner's License as confirmed by a local university
