Job Summary
Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for K-5 students with disabilities in accordance with Tennessee state regulations. Conduct virtual IEP meetings and collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and related service providers to ensure goals are measurable and aligned with the curriculum. Implement the Stellar Virtual elementary curriculum, adapt instructional materials for diverse learning needs, and provide direct and indirect specialized instruction in individual and small group virtual settings. Administer formative and summative assessments, analyze student data to identify learning gaps, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Support on-site testing events periodically throughout the year and participate in virtual professional development and staff meetings. Requires a Tennessee teaching license, two years of elementary teaching experience, and residency in Tennessee.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of successful teaching experience at the elementary level
- Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital task list and maintain a stable remote (home-office) infrastructure
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) in a professional or academic setting
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas via written channels (Email, Google Chat, and Document Comments) with high clarity and low ambiguity
- Access to a private, secure, high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing online learning platforms and elementary educational technology tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment
- Passion for working with young learners and fostering their academic and social-emotional development
- Residency in the state of Tennessee is required
- A bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field
- A valid Tennessee teaching license with an endorsement in Elementary Education (K-5) or equivalent
