Job Summary
Elementary Teacher (K-2) in Texas responsible for delivering core academic instruction, developing lesson plans, assessing student growth, and accommodating diverse learning needs. Create lessons aligned with district curriculum, use technology to enhance teaching, collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula for IEPs, supervise teacher aides and volunteers, engage families through conferences, and participate in staff development and committees to support student growth and district goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned, including Bilingual certification
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- At least one-year student teaching or approved alternative certification program internship
