Job Summary
Plan, organize, and present instruction in elementary classrooms while developing and administering a curriculum aligned with district goals. Maintain a safe learning environment by establishing student behavior standards, evaluating academic and social growth, and keeping accurate records of attendance and achievement. Communicate effectively with parents, co-workers, and community members to support student development and encourage parental involvement. Administer standardized tests, select instructional materials, and supervise out-of-classroom activities including transportation. Continuously acquire professional knowledge through seminars and workshops to address current educational developments.
Required Qualifications
- LICENSED TEACHER - Hiddenite Elementary School
- Bachelor's degree
- licensed by the state of North Carolina in the required area(s)
- Degree in education or in a related area that will qualify for licensure as a teacher by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction
