Elementary Teacher (First Grade)

First Grade Teacher responsible for delivering standards-based instruction aligned with the Georgia Standards of Excellence, developing foundational literacy and numeracy, and supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth. The role emphasizes data-informed instructional decisions, differentiation for diverse learners, effective classroom management, collaboration with grade-level teams and families, ongoing assessment to monitor progress, and maintaining accurate student records. The teacher will communicate regularly with parents, participate in professional learning, and perform other duties assigned by the Principal. The position is a tenth-month contract at the Dougherty County School System and requires a Bachelor's degree with valid Georgia teacher certification or Charter Waiver eligibility, with strong knowledge of early literacy and foundational math, and a commitment to a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
