Job Summary
Fifth Grade Elementary Teacher responsible for instructing reading, mathematics, science, writing, and social studies; implementing support plans (504, IEP, Intervention); disaggregating data and developing individual student improvement plans; participating in SRBI, team, data, and staff meetings; engaging in professional development aligned with district initiatives; assessing student learning and communicating progress to students, families, and staff; performing additional district/school tasks as assigned. Requires a Bachelor's Degree (MA preferred), Connecticut Elementary Teaching Certification, reliable transportation, ability to pass background checks, strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency with classroom technology, confidentiality, collaboration within a cohesive team, and knowledge of differentiated instruction and NGSS/Common Core standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in elementary education
- Valid Connecticut Elementary Teaching Certification
- Reliable transportation
- Must pass federal and local background checks
