Job Summary
Elementary Teacher at Framingham Public Schools, responsible for delivering high-quality instruction aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, differentiating for diverse learners (including ELLs and students with IEPs/504 plans), and using data to inform instruction. The role emphasizes building an inclusive, trauma-informed classroom, supporting social-emotional learning, and collaborating with PLCs, special education, ESL, and mental health staff to support student success. Requires aBachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (or related field) and Massachusetts teaching licensure with SEI Endorsement; Master’s Degree preferred. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferred. Responsibilities include planning, instruction, assessment, data-informed practice, restorative practices, curriculum alignment, and professional development in antiracist, equitable practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education or related field
- Massachusetts Teaching License in Early Childhood (K-2) with SEI Endorsement, and/or Elementary (1-5) with SEI Endorsement
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred
- Experience in differentiated instruction and data-driven practice
- Ability to collaborate in PLCs and with multiple teams
- Commitment to equity and antiracist pedagogy
