Elementary Teacher

Plans and implements a program of study in specific subject areas that enables elementary students to learn and develop, including instructional plans aligned to state standards, assessments, and inclusive practices (504, IDEA); manages the classroom environment, delivers standards-based instruction, and provides frequent, timely feedback. Responsibilities include designing and planning instruction, applying a variety of instructional strategies, assessing student progress, collaborating with colleagues and families, meeting professional duties (PLC participation, attending meetings), and fulfilling duties related to supervision, grades, attendance, and school-wide initiatives. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and Louisiana teaching certification, with responsibilities spanning instructional planning, curriculum alignment, student assessment, and professional responsibilities across elementary and related levels.
