Job Summary
Elementary Teacher at MLKCSE with primary responsibility for instructional planning and execution of the curriculum for K–5, including co-teaching in Kindergarten and First Grade and pull-in/push-in support in grades 2–5. Responsibilities include daily attendance, planning engaging instruction aligned to MLKCSE curricular guidance, Common Core State Standards, and Massachusetts Frameworks; maintaining timely student grading; collaborating with Special Educators, ESL Educators, and Instructional Leaders; participating in curriculum development, data-driven data meetings, and school-wide functions; administering and using assessments to refine curriculum and interventions; delivering high expectations for academics and behavior; communicating professionally with students, families, and colleagues; fulfilling duties as assigned; and reporting to Academic or Executive Directors. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree, Preliminary MA teaching certification or progress toward MA certification, and SEI or RETELL endorsement. Preferred qualifications include urban setting experience and bilingual (Spanish) candidates.
