Job Summary
Certified 5th-grade elementary teacher responsible for developing and delivering engaging lesson plans, documenting and sharing student grades, maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment, upholding district discipline policies, and fostering positive relationships with students, families, and the community. Requires Arizona teaching certification and IVP fingerprint clearance; may require additional training or certification for specialized assignments; may involve lifting supplies or students and occasional travel or working outside normal hours. Term of employment is 9 months with a teacher salary schedule.
Required Qualifications
- A valid intern, provisional, or standard Arizona Teaching Certificate; or possess the necessary qualifications to become certified in the state of Arizona.
- Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Specialized teaching assignments may require additional training and/or certification
- Must be able to pass a background clearance check.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid government issued ID
- May be required to lift and carry heavy, bulky supplies and materials weighing up to 20 pounds
- May be required to lift students weighing up to 60 pounds
- Must be able to work outside normal working hours
- May be required to travel to perform work functions
