Elementary Teacher - 2nd Grade

Job Summary
Instructs students in multiple content areas (Reading/ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies) using varied teaching methods; plans lessons and implements curriculum, conducts tests, and communicates progress to parents. Maintains classroom discipline, supervises behavior outside the classroom, prepares course objectives per curriculum guidelines, and participates in faculty meetings and professional development. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher and Georgia certification (T-4 to T-7) with normal classroom responsibilities in a Rex, GA school for a full-time role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Certification by the State of Georgia in Education T-4 to T-7 as required by the GaPSC
- Normal classroom/school setting
- Must be able to stand and walk approximately seven to seven and one-half hours per day
- Light lifting or carrying; twenty lbs. or less
- Teaching experience (minimum 1 year preferred)
