Job Summary
Support Teacher for Elementary After-School program: assist with classroom setup and cleanup, supervise students across settings (classroom, playground, bus, cafeteria), support math and reading instruction through whole-group, center-based, homework help, and small-group formats; manage and coach volunteers, engage with staff, students, and parents, and help coordinate parent events. Maintain program records and communicate program expectations and changes. Must have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year in youth development or related field, obtain Florida DCF certificate within 1 year, hold current first aid/CPR, and pass required background screenings. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish or English/Haitian Creole). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computing for records and communication. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and maintain safety and positive behavior in varied settings.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in youth development, childcare, or related field
- Must obtain Foundation Florida DCF certificate within 1 year of employment
- Current first aid and CPR certificates
- Able to pass background checks and FDLE fingerprinting
- Background screening including FDLE and FBI checks per Florida statute
