Job Summary
Monitor student safety and activities during recess and lunch, including seating, behavior management, food distribution, and dismissal. Assist with student health concerns, daily lunch counts, attendance records, and contacting absent families. Support classroom teachers by preparing instructional materials and manage the media center when needed. Maintain confidentiality of student records and adhere to negotiated agreements for paraeducators. Work 2.5 hours daily across 175 contract days with an AA degree or relevant certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- AA Degree or BA degree, or Para certification

- Previous experience working with children
- Post-secondary coursework in educational field
- Initiative to be a self-starter
- Intuitive to the needs of the student
- Ability to work well with classroom teacher, support staff, administrators, AEA and parents of student as part of an educational team
- Ability to be flexible in assignments given
- Ability to use good judgment when unexpected problems arise
- Ability to use office equipment
