Job Summary
Develops and delivers an elementary STEM program, plans and provides instruction aligned to district and state standards, assesses student progress, creates age-appropriate lesson plans and instructional materials, and collaborates with colleagues and parents to support student growth. Maintains classroom climate and behavior standards, applies diverse instructional techniques, uses technology to support learning, ensures confidentiality of student records, and participates in school planning and district initiatives. Requires a B.S. degree in the area of instructional responsibility and Alabama teaching certification, background checks, 187 instructional days, and adherence to district policies and professional ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a B.S. Degree in the area of instructional responsibility required.
- Alabama State Department of Education Teaching Certification in the area of instructional responsibility required.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
