Job Summary
Elementary STEM Teacher delivers standards-aligned STEM instruction to elementary students, designs engaging lesson plans, and assesses student progress. The role focuses on creating an inclusive, positive learning environment, collaborating with colleagues and families, maintaining accurate records, and pursuing ongoing professional development to elevate instructional effectiveness. Responsibilities include instructional planning and delivery, classroom management, collaboration and communication with parents and administrators, student support and development, compliance and record-keeping, and participating in district initiatives. The position is based in Leavenworth, Kansas for the 2026-27 school year with a 186-day contract and requires Kansas K-12 teaching certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid Kansas State Teaching Certification for K-12 with appropriate endorsement(s) based on content and grade level
- Proven classroom experience
- Knowledge of instructional design and classroom management
- Proficiency with educational technology and district-approved tools
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
