Elementary Specials Teacher (PE)

Elementary Specials Teacher (PE) responsible for planning and delivering specialized, standards-based physical education aligned with Ohio Learning Standards and the district’s mission. Roles include differentiating instruction, employing varied instructional strategies, implementing formative and summative assessments (including IEP/504/EL considerations), maintaining an organized and safe classroom climate, managing equipment and safety protocols, organizing student showcases/fitness events, and collaborating with Professional Learning Communities and families. Requires knowledge of Ohio Learning Standards, trauma-informed practices, digital literacy, and strong communication. Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree and a valid Ohio Teaching License/Certificate for the specific subject area and/or grade level. Physical demands include movement, lifting equipment, and potential exposure to loud environments; driving to multiple sites may be required. 184-day contract; background checks required.
