Job Summary
Conduct specialized instruction for grades 4–5 students, implementing individualized education programs while collaborating with classroom teachers, service providers, administrators, and families. Monitor academic progress, adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs, and foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture where students feel empowered to grow. Build engaging lessons that reflect each learner's strengths, challenges, and goals to support meaningful learning experiences. Requires a bachelor's degree in Special Education, a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a Learning Behavior Specialist I endorsement, and experience in a school-based special education setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement
