Elementary Special Education Coordinator

Job Summary
Lead and supervise the Elementary Special Education staff (teachers, paraeducators, and related service personnel) to implement district-wide SPED services in compliance with NH rules. Provide leadership to support students with special needs, assist with developing the elementary special education budget, participate in district leadership meetings, serve as district representative at student services team meetings, facilitate positive instructional outcomes, act as liaison with outside agencies, support student transitions, collaborate on extended school year programs, supervise staff in deployment of caseloads, recruit/train mentored new staff, monitor ELA/IEP processes to ensure Least Restrictive Environment, ensure NHSEIS compliance, and participate in evaluations and placement team activities. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and NH certification in Special Education and Administration/Principal, with supervisory/teaching experience in SPED. The role involves district-wide coordination, budget involvement, staff development, and compliance oversight.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's degree in Special Education preferred
- New Hampshire DOE certification in Special Education and Special Education Administration or Principal required
- 5 years of supervisory and teaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of best practices for Elementary/Special Education
