Job Summary
Elementary Spanish teacher for a full-year leave replacement in West Windsor-Plainsboro, delivering daily World Language instruction to elementary students in accordance with the Board-approved curriculum. Requires NJDOE Spanish K-12 or Elementary K-6 certification (with OPI Advanced Low or higher), relevant coursework in second language acquisition, criminal history clearance, and ability to implement differentiated instruction, IEP accommodations, and standards-aligned assessments. 10-month contract with salary/benefits determined by the Board of Education; proficient in office applications and district portals; strong collaboration with staff and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- NJDOE Spanish K-12 Certification OR NJDOE Elementary K-6 Certification
- OPI Score of Advanced Low or Higher
- Minimum of three semester-hour credits in second language acquisition theory and related methodologies within 12 months
- Successful Criminal History Clearance
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
- Proof of US Citizenship or appropriate work authorization
