Job Summary
Teaching Fellows co-teach in elementary classrooms (grades K-4) within KIPP MA’s Lynn/Boston districts, partnering with Lead Teachers to plan and deliver rigorous, engaging instruction. Responsibilities include creating unit and daily lesson plans, differentiating instruction, analyzing student work/data to inform practice, maintaining strong family communications, participating in professional development, and contributing to school-wide systems. The role emphasizes collaboration with grade-level teams, adherence to the Code of Conduct, MTEL/SEI development, and eventual transition to Lead Teacher after a year of intensive development. The position offers a starting salary of $45,000 with signing and retention bonuses and follows the school year calendar.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Teaching Fellows program requires collaboration with Lead Teacher
- Ability to perform duties including co-teaching, solo teaching, and student assessment
- Strong organizational skills and communication abilities
- Pass Criminal Background Check
- MTEL requirements and SEI endorsements in first year (study support provided)
