Job Summary
K-5 substitute teachers needed to cover general education and specialty subjects (art, music, dance, drama, science, physical education, Spanish, and technology) on campus. Responsibilities include substituting on campus as needed, using mobile devices for email and text communications, maintaining classroom management, following and implementing lesson plans, and writing a brief end-of-day report to the teacher. Requires a Bachelor's degree and experience with elementary-aged children. On-site position with physical demands including standing, mobility, outdoor supervision, and ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Mandatory trainings within 30 days: Harassment Prevention Training, Workplace Violence Prevention Training, and Mandated Reporter Training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children in a school, childcare, daycare, or similar educational setting
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Standing all day, moving about the classroom, outdoor supervision to monitor students
- Physical demands include lifting up to 60 lbs and stairs
- All newly hired employees must complete Harassment Prevention Training, Workplace Violence Prevention Training, and Mandated Reporter Training within first 30 days
