Job Summary
Plan daily and long-term instructional sequences for 4th and 5th grade science, utilizing data to drive short-term and long-term student achievement goals. Implement feedback from instructional leadership, peers, parents, and students to refine practice and meet the needs of all learners. Maintain full accountability for student academic outcomes, classroom culture, and non-academic skill development including collaboration and kindness. Work as a crew member within the department while adhering to Pharos Academy's core beliefs. Achieve minimum standards where 75% of students meet grade-level benchmarks and 33% exceed proficiency on internal and state assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in elementary education and/or Science related field of study
- Experience working with elementary/middle school-aged children in an academic or youth development setting
- Experienced teachers must show a proven track record of achievement in the classroom

- Strong love and commitment to helping students work through mistakes while building pro-social and academic skills
