Job Summary

Plan, teach, and evaluate instruction for students with foundational literacy difficulties during Skills Block and WIN time. Work 1:1 or in small groups to support students behind grade level, coach teachers on best practices, and analyze assessment data for differentiated instruction plans. Collaborate with leadership on curriculum decisions, lead biannual literacy events for families, and develop rubrics to measure student mastery. Facilitate trainings on evidence-based literacy theories and assist grade-level teams in sequencing skills. Provide progress monitoring assessments and support MTSS/RTI accommodations with Special Education. Salaried, full-time role with an occasional signing bonus. Start immediately.

Required Qualifications

  • Active CDE license with an endorsement in Elementary Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or English Education
  • Passing score on the PRAXIS 5205 within the last 10 years
  • Ability to pass all required background checks (pursuant to CRS § 22-30.5-110.7)
  • At least five years of elementary classroom teaching experience
  • Proven track record of significant student growth in literacy
  • Strong understanding of foundational literacy instruction and effective interventions for struggling readers
  • Full commitment to educational equity and to fostering a rigorous, nurturing, and joyful environment
  • Ownership of student academic outcomes and growth
  • Effective communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
  • Growth mindset and openness to feedback
  • Evidence of self-motivation and ability to work collaboratively

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or English Education
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, or experience working with bilingual learners
  • Previous experience with progress monitoring literacy tools
  • Demonstrated success in urban classrooms, utilizing structure, incentives, and high expectations to drive achievement
