Job Summary
On-site supervision of school food service operations with supervising staff and coordinating compliance for NSLP, SBP, CACFP, and SFSP. Ensure meals meet USDA meal patterns and FDA/health regulations; develop nutritionally sound menus, promote student participation, and maintain KPI-driven performance. Oversee inventory, training, scheduling, and coordination with teachers, parents, and administrators to maintain high standards of nutrition and service for up to 1,000 students daily; enforce professional conduct and complete duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Certified at or working towards Texas Association for School Nutrition Level V Certification
- Ability to obtain Texas approved Manager’s Food Handler Certification
- Ability to complete 10 hours of continuing education annually in Nutrition, Operations, Administration, and Communication/Marketing as required by Texas Department of Agriculture
- Demonstrate ability to implement KPI for School Nutrition Success as provided by Institute of Child Nutrition
- Ability to serve up to 1,000 students per day in classroom or serving line
