Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care and health assessments for elementary students, including administering medications and performing health procedures; develop and maintain Individualized Health Care Plans (IHCPs) and Emergency Care Plans; monitor immunizations and health compliance; coordinate vision screenings and health-related referrals; maintain accurate and confidential student health records; collaborate with families, staff, and administration to support student wellness initiatives; ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and applicable health regulations; participate in professional development and district nursing meetings; support district health services and health education initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Current CPR Certification
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively in emergencies
- Preferred: Experience in pediatric, community, public health, or school nursing
- Knowledge of child growth and development
- Experience working with students with chronic health conditions
