Elementary School Nurse LPN

Provide assessment, screening, planning, intervention, evaluation, counseling, management and referrals for student health to minimize absences and maximize educational opportunities. Conduct immunizations, physical examinations, and sight/hearing testing; perform nursing assessments for ill or injured students; develop individualized health care plans (ICHP) and contribute to IEPs. Collaborate with health care providers, parents, school district staff and community agencies; ensure access and continuity of care; implement Board policies on infectious diseases; maintain accurate records; provide health education and guidance to students, parents and staff; train on Heimlich maneuver, Blood Borne Pathogens, and emergency plans; participate in school health programs and multidisciplinary teams; frequent travel between schools. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Biology/related science and LPN license in good standing, CPR certification, and demonstrated experience with pediatric populations in school or community settings.
