Job Summary
Elementary School Lunchroom Monitor responsibilities include supervising students in the cafeteria during mealtime, ensuring tables and surrounding areas are clean, supervising playground and classroom activities during lunch, assisting with orderly food purchases and disposal of food waste, guiding students in returning trays and utensils, maintaining orderly dismissal from the cafeteria, and escorting students to buses. Additional duties may include distributing textbooks or supplies and collecting deposits for food services programs. Requires effective verbal and written communication, organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality about students; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Certification/License: Motor Vehicle Operator's (DMV) License or ability to provide own transportation.
- Experience: Successful prior experience working as a lunch or food service aide, preferably in a school district or with children.
- FLSA Status: Nonexempt
