Job Summary
Elementary School Counselor for STAR VALLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS in Lincoln County School District #2. Provides counseling services across all levels, including IDEA-related services, group and individual counseling, prevention programming (social skills, coping skills, emotional development, anti-bullying) through classroom and schoolwide programming, and collaboration with teachers, administrators, parents, and community agencies. Supervises interns and practicums; assists with development and monitoring of individual education programs (IEPs); engages in referrals and coordination with families and services. Travel within the district may be required; primary work occurs in district buildings with indoor settings and occasional outdoor conditions. Requires professional licensure/certification as a School Counselor or eligibility therefor in Wyoming, with adherence to district policies, federal/state laws, and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- certification by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board authorizing service in the area of School Counselor or hold or be eligible for license/certification through the Wyoming Mental Health Professions Licensing Board
